In order to further consolidate and develop the friendly relations and economic and trade cooperation between Zhejiang Province and African countries, the Zhejiang-Africa Service Center earnestly fulfills the role of a one-stop docking platform between China and Africa. In addition to linking domestic and foreign enterprises, universities and institutions, it also contacts African ambassadors Communication, through domestic and international "energy aggregation", build a "communication bridge" deeper and more solidly.


From April 18th to 20th, 2023. Mr. Frank Xie Qi, director of the Zhejiang-Africa Service Center, visited the African Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Kenyan and  Ugandan Embassy in China to make the communication between Zhejiang and Africa smoother and more convenient, and at the same time promote the March 2023 tour follow-up related projects of the Zhejiang-Africa business travel delegation.

Frank Xie Qi, director of the Zhejiang-Africa Service Center, visited the African Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and reported to Director Wu Peng the achievements of the Zhejiang-Africa business delegation's visit in March. Contribute to the construction of a dual cycle system of domestic and foreign trade. At present, many visiting companies have begun to focus on the African market, clearly judge the degree of matching between the African market and themselves, improve the economic and trade layout, actively explore the entry into the African market, and plan to carry out economic and trade cooperation with Africa.

Director-General of the Department of African Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Wu Peng shared on Twitter the trip of the Zhejiang-Africa business delegation to the three countries in the Great Lakes region of Africa

Director Wu Peng affirmed the positive results achieved by the Zhejiang-Africa Service Center in various tasks, and said that in the future, he would provide support in business travel, trade, investment, etc. By exerting our power to help Chinese enterprises enter Africa, it can also help African products to go out.


Afternoon of April 19th, 2023: Kenyan Embassy in China

Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Kenya in 1963, the two countries have established and improved a series of cooperation mechanisms, and the exchanges and cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, technology, culture, education, tourism, news, and justice have become closer and deeper. As an important participant in the “Belt and Road” initiative, Kenya has a huge market potential. The government has formulated a package of economic stimulus and economic recovery plans, attracting many Chinese companies to invest.

In recent years, the Zhejiang-Africa Service Center has maintained friendly interactions with Kenya, and the exchanges between the two sides have become increasingly frequent. Extensive cooperation has been carried out in many fields and good results have been achieved. In March, the business delegation of Zhejiang Africa Service Center went to Kenya to visit and investigate to understand the situation of Kenya's economic, trade and investment. After returning to China, it signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Kenyan Chinese Entrepreneur Association, and will follow up with the Kenyan Chinese Entrepreneur Association to work collaboratively around the "trinity" construction of exhibitions, overseas warehouses, and industrial parks, and promote cooperation in two directions.


His Excellency Levistone Wahuru, Commercial Attaché of the Kenyan Embassy in China, affirmed the contribution of the Zhejiang-Africa Service Center to China-Kenya trade, and said that he would provide assistance for Zhejiang enterprises to invest in Kenya, and strengthen in-depth cooperation in economics, trade, culture, sports, etc. Pragmatic cooperation will promote the cooperation between the two parties to a higher level.


April 20th 2023: Embassy of Uganda in China

Mr.Frank. Xie Qi, director of the Zhejiang-Africa Service Center, introduced the Uganda exploration trip of the Zhejiang-Africa business delegation to the Ugandan ambassador to China, Oliver Woneka, and expressed the hope to get the help of the Ugandan embassy in China to promote the Wahaha project in Uganda from various aspects.


His Excellency Oliver Woneka highly appreciated the work done by the Zhejiang-Africa Service Center for enterprises, and also expressed that Uganda will further strengthen friendly cooperation with Zhejiang enterprises, promote the common development of China and Africa, and pragmatically promote the implementation of projects to achieve a win-win situation for both parties.

For a long time, the Zhejiang-Africa Service Center has been actively fulfilling its duties as a one-stop service platform for China and Africa, coordinating government-enterprise cooperation, pragmatically promoting the implementation of enterprise-to-Africa projects, helping both parties to carry out effective information transmission, identifying the combination point, and further deepening and expanding the relationship between the two parties. Next, the center will continue to follow up the progress of the project and contribute to China-Africa cooperation.
